Malouda perpanjang kontrak hingga 2013



Bintang Internasional Perancis ini membuktikan kesetiannya buat Chelsea dengan memperpanjang kontraknya empat tahun lagi. Sebelumnya santer terdengar Malouda akan hengkang dari Stamford Bridge. Musim ini Malouda menyumbang 9 gol buat Chelsea dalam seluruh ajang.

Chelsea Football Club has agreed terms with Florent Malouda on a new four year contract.The 29-year-old, who recently regained his place in the France side, joined the Blues from Lyon in 2007, where he spent four seasons.

Last season saw his second campaign with Chelsea, one in which he scored several crucial goals, including the equaliser in our eventual 2-1 win over Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-final.

In total, Malouda scored nine goals last season, doubling the four-goal tally he netted during his first campaign with the Blues. The new contract will see Malouda remain at Chelsea until 2013

Musim depan, the blues Chelsea akan menggunakan kostum berbeda lagi untuk laga tandangnya. Setelah sebelumya menggunakan jersey dengan warna kuning nyala (spotlight), kali ini, Adidas meluncurkan jersey dengan nuansa biru hitam dengan garis kuning.

DROGBA and BOSINGWA Punished byUEFA

Chelsea Football Club is considering our response to Uefa ment that sees Didier Drogba and José Bosingwa suspended for European games and the club fined.
Drogba's punishment, which relates to incidents after the Champions League semi-final second leg against Barcelona, is a suspension for six Uefa club competition matches - the last two of which are deferred for a probationary period of two years.

Bosingwa has been suspended for four Uefa club competition matches, the last of which is deferred for a probationary period of two years.
Chelsea have been fined €100,000 for the improper conduct of our players and the throwing of missiles by supporters,

A Uefa statement on the punishment reads:

Chelsea FC striker Didier Drogba has been suspended for six UEFA club competition matches - the last two of which are deferred for a probationary period of two years - following incidents at the UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg against FC Barcelona in London on 6 May. The decision was taken today by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body.
In addition, Chelsea defender José Bosingwa has been suspended for four UEFA club competition matches, the last of which is deferred for a probationary period of two years, for offences at the same match.
Drogba and Bosingwa were facing charges of being in breach of the principles of sportsmanship by insulting the referee by making offensive comments. Drogba's suspension applies to the next four UEFA club competition matches for which the player would be eligible, while Bosingwa's suspension applies to the next three UEFA club competition matches for which the player would be eligible.
Chelsea FC have been fined €100,000 for the improper conduct of their players and the throwing of missiles by their supporters at the match against Barcelona, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Either the club or the players may appeal against the decision within three days of the dispatch of the reasoned decision.
